The heavy construction firm, Tutor-Saliba, is among the largest transportation construction firms in the Unites States. Having logged more than 40 years in major construction and engineering jobs with over 5 billion in completed projects, Tutor-Saliba stands among the country's largest general contractors. They are the primary builders of the new subway system in LA. They also work on public buildings. A.G. Tutor founded Tutor-Saliba, headquartered in Sylmar, CA, in 1949. Tutor-Saliba's current President and CEO is Ronal Tutor, A.G.'s son. Ronald is also VC of another heavy construction firm, Perini. Perini is a joint venture partner. Tutor-Saliba also has two subsidiaries, Black Construction who is located in Guam and E.E. Black in the Philippines. Tutor-Saliba had a sales growth of 27.8 percent in 1998.
