When Sailors go to sea, mail service doesn't stop. They depend on mail to keep them fueled almost as much as they depend on food. They also enjoy sending mail from the ship to their friends and loved ones back home.

For the shipboard postal clerks, maintaining adequate stock of stamps, money orders, and other supplies is logistically challenging--until now. With the opening of the Atlantic Postal Finance Office (PFO) at the Regional Navy Mail Center at Naval Station Norfolk, afloat Post Offices no longer have to order their supplies from Postmaster New York.
