The Eugene Dragons semipro football team has defeated Savages and Raiders. It's beaten back the Timberwolves and silenced the Knights.

Yet, its most significant victory this season may have come off the field, as the Dragons (4-0) have been able to hold onto a No. 1 national ranking for 10 days despite a rating system that (surprise!) relies on a complicated computer program emphasizing strength of schedule, and one that is prone to (gasp!) an East Coast bias.

Of course, winning the first games of the season by a combined score of 197-0 hasn't hurt.
