Patients of Dr. Ken Johnson know a sure-fire way to take their mind off their dental procedures: just ask him about short track racing.

It turns out the Arlington Heights-based dentist is among the top four racers in the millennium late model class at the Lake Geneva Raceway, and he has hopes of finishing out this season on a high note.

"I really want to chalk up a featured win, which would be the main event of the night," says Johnson, 46. "I've been close before, but I've never been able to do it."
