Man dies in fire at his Fox Lake condo.(News)

A man suffering from multiple sclerosis died from smoke inhalation during a fire in his Fox Lake condominium Friday morning, officials said.

Thomas Curry, 42, of 32-5 Montego Bay in Vacation Village, was trying to escape the smoke that was building in his one-bedroom condo unit, but fell on the first floor a few feet from the door.

Fox Lake Fire Department Chief Ron Hoehne said the fire remains under investigation, and an official from the state Fire Marshal's Office is reviewing the blaze.
