These pictures appear in my sports dictionary.(Sports)(Indiana basketball)

After Larry Bird rejoined the Indiana Pacers, someone remarked, "Look 'Indiana basketball' up in the dictionary and you'll see Larry Bird's picture."

Well sure, I thought. Then I thought again and started thinking some more, and out spilled this column.

You hear that phrase, "Look (such and such) up in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of (this person or that place)."

Well, in my sports dictionary, here's who or what you'd see. Disagree if you wish but, hey, it's my dictionary.

Indiana basketball: OK, I'll give you Larry Bird.

But Indiana high school basketball: That would be Bobby Plump ... or Oscar Robertson.
