Architects see the light at church building.
Victoria Meyers, of hanrahanMeyers architects, is collaborating with Thomas Hanranhan to transform a historic six family church on MacDougal Street.
The facade of the building was bricked up as an architectural statement in the 1960's, leaving only a small entryway and a slice of a window that let some light into a second floor sanctuary.
Meyers and her team plans to bring the light back into the building and create a welcoming, modernist space.
