CITY STILL WANTS WASTE MOVED FROM SHATTUCK OFFICIALS RENEW CALL FOR ACTION IN OVERLAND PARK MEETING.(Local)

City officials reiterated their demand Wednesday that radioactive waste from the Shattuck Chemical Co. site be removed from a Denver neighborhood.

``We want every one of you to tell the EPA, we're not going to put up with this in Denver or in the Overland Park neighborhood,'' said Theresa Donahue, the city's manager of environmental health.

``Mayor Webb is not backing off on this and the neighborhood is not backing off on this.''

Nearly 20 people attended a ``Year of the Neighborhood'' town meeting at the Harvard Gulch Recreation Center.
