China Phosphate Rock Exports Dropped 76.4% in Jan-Feb.
BEIJING, Apr 08, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- China exported 56,000 tons of phosphate rock in January and February 2009, down 76.4% from a year earlier, the value was USD 17.36 million, down 31.6%, said China Customs.
Impressively, the average export price hit USD 309.5 per ton, rocketing 190% year on year.
China just exported 18,000 tons of phosphate rock this January, the lowest since October 2006, while the exports rebounded in February to 38,000 tons, 110% more than that in January but still 62.9% lower than a year earlier. The average price declined 30.7% from January to USD 271.2 …
