Spanish police break up Nigerian prostitution ring.
Madrid, Dec 3, 2005 (EFE via COMTEX) -- Spanish police have broken up an international network of Nigerians who smuggled women into Europe and forced them into prostitution by intimidating them through witchcraft, police said Saturday.
The operation, conducted jointly with German police, led to the arrest of 12 people in the provinces of Madrid, Zaragoza, Alicante and Malaga. The suspected kingpin, N.R.E., alias "the Shepherd," was captured in the Madrid municipality of Alcala de Henares.
