Cafe rides Healthy Express: Cafe concept in Canada handling higher customer counts.(hospitals)(Change of Cafe Divino to Healthy Trendz Express)

EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- Revenues are up 51% at the University of Alberta Hospital since its Cafe Divino was converted to Healthy Trendz Express recently.

Khaleed Khan, regional manager of hospitality for Capital Health, a network encompassing the hospital, developed Healthy Trendz Express as a branded concept providing healthful options.

But the increase here is due to more variety in food and beverages, and to speedier service, he says. Transactions are up 35% over Cafe Divino, which was a small cart concept.
