Anadarko ups strike prices.(Corporate News)(Brief article)

Anadarko said Tuesday it raised the strike price on some options given to top executives as a reward for their role in the acquisitions of Kerr-McGee and Western Gas Resources, according to a filing with regulators.

The executives, including Chief Executive James Hackett and Chief Operating Officer Karl Kurz, asked the board's compensation committee to modify the awards so they would profit only after Anadarko's stock price exceeds the price prior to the announcement of the deals, the filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission said.
