I don't know Ray and Debbie Sanderbeck, even though they live a couple streets away, but I owe a great debt to them. And so does every parent in Ohio.

You see, Ray and his wife, Debbie, lost their youngest daughter earlier this year in an automobile crash outside Medina. Michelle, then 15, was a passenger in a car with four other young kids heading out for some ice cream. The driver lost control of the car and hit a wall; Michelle died of neck injuries even though she was wearing a seat belt.

As a tribute to Michelle, her parents launched a crusade to get a law passed in Ohio, similar to those in other states, that will limit …
