Homes sought for rescued horses Equines available for adoption through Humane Society of Greene County

-- Three horses that were deemed cruelty cases in Greene County are now looking for good homes.

These mares -- ranging in age from 1 to 20 years old -- may still show slight signs of neglect, but all they need today are families to love and care for them.

All of the horses have been vet checked, wormed and vaccinated, according to Humane Society of Greene County livestock agent Terri Hoelscher.

Hoelscher, the Humane Society's go-to person for livestock complaints since mid-2004, said she's handled between 18 to 20 livestock complaint calls in 2005.
