Don't believe the rumors.
After various fundraising events and support from local businesses, the 53rd annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will still happen, and Eileen Donadio, the first female coordinator in parade history, couldn't be happier.
"After the mayor told us New Haven wouldn't provide for police overtime, we put in a big effort to save the parade," says Donadio. "Local establishments stepped up to the plate and held events, and now we're meeting our goal. The hard work paid off."
