EPA TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING KENTUCKY WOOD PRESERVING SITE IN WINCHESTER, KY
The Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 office issued the following news release
EPA will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 regarding the Kentucky Wood Preserving site in Winchester, Ky. EPA officials will provide information and answer questions about the EPA removal action underway at the site. The public meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Education Center, 1400 Fortune Drive in Winchester.
The Kentucky Wood Preserving Site is located at 200 Magnolia Street in Winchester, Ky. The company used Copper Chromated Arsenate (CCA) wood preservatives in their operations, which reportedly ceased in October 2006. EPA began a …
