Devine faces Labour 'star chamber' and election ban
A SCOTS Labour MP was today facing the prospect of being barred from standing at the next General Election amid allegations that he misused his parliamentary expenses.
Jim Devine, the MP for Livingston, has struggled to justify claiming GBP 4,483 of public money, apparently for 66 metres of office shelving for his constituency office and electrical repair work at his London flat.
He will face a "star chamber" of Labour officials that has already prevented four MPs from representing the party after a public outcry over their claims.
