When I was working at The Star, the editor of the Tonight section received a letter from an irate advertiser. The writer was complaining bitterly that too much space was being devoted free of charge to Sun City and especially to Hazel Feldman, its then entertainment director, whom the writer assumed was my wife.

I have known Hazel for something like 40 years and this assumption is often drawn. In fact there was once a picture in the local "knock-and-drop" of my wife Carla and I at an opening night and the caption read "Hazel and her husband Sam".

This is just one amusing side to a working relationship in which I have watched Hazel Feldman's phenomenal career develop. And we are not even related.
